S: Difficulty, that is what you find.
A: Ease you can find. Have you not looked for it?
S: What you call ease, is that not a shortcut?
A: What do we talk about here?
S: One wonders if anyone ever knows what they talk about. That is the orientation of the psychoanalyst and the student of ideology. But what I was referring to was the grave difficulty of life, love and thought.
A: You think it is difficult? You call yourself a genius. You call yourself one that lives life. You call yourself the lover that is named after love. You find all of these difficult?
S: Do you know what makes everything difficult? Do you know what makes life, love and thought difficult?
A: The chip on your shoulder?
S: My legitimate grievances. Other people. Difficulty is created by the inclusion of other people. And they must be included in everything.
A: What is so difficult about other people?
S: The distances that they build. The prejudices that they have. Their stupidity. Their hostility. Their obstructions. Their starving of resources. The lack of love that they have within them. Their cheapness and their meanness. Their corruption. Their lack of judgement and discernment. The way that they make irrational and biased decisions.
A: And how do you cope with this difficulty in life?
S: There is only one thing that you can do. And that is to struggle against them. To struggle against all. The destiny of one that is born a warrior is the war.
A: You would have a rest from this difficulty? This curse of complication?
S: If there is love within you, if there is thought within you, if there is life within you, fight you must. There is a very simple set of choices in life. To be a man or to be a non-man. To love or to hate. To fight or to kneel down. Honour or cowardice. And if you make the right choice, then life is difficult and hard. Because others have made the wrong choice and want you to become as bad as they are.
