belief in goodness

S: In the film, the Joker conducts an experiment. He bets on the badness of people. Their selfishness. In the film, he makes the wrong assumption.

A: What do you believe?

S: That man is a wolf to man. The Joker is right.

A: Why?

S: What else has life taught us, the oppressed? What has life taught us, the genuinely different? The ethnic minority. The working class. Being the top student everywhere I have been and still, they did not do the right thing and give me what I deserved. Every job I have had, I have been a top employee. Where is my reward for my worth? The answer is prejudice.

A: You have this belief in badness?

S: Do you know the difference between the tigers and the sheep? Us, the tigers, we would give our life for our earth, our mother, our family, for the sheep. To protect them. We would do it and we would laugh. We would give our lives away with a smile on our face. Because we have done our duty. What do you think these cowards can give? All we asked for was love. They could not even give that. Their hearts are misers.

A: Everyone you have chosen, you have chosen for their goodness and their kindness. Because their hearts are full of love. Not everyone is the same.

S: Love never dies. However much you try to erase it.  And that makes the ones that have given us love even more special. They are not people, they are diamonds.
